Zwischen Tanz, zeitgenössigem Circus und Materialtheater werden Formen der Interaktion mit dem Publikum gesucht, um die Schnittstelle zwischen menschlichen und nicht-menschlichen
Handlungen zu erkunden. Mit UNMEASUREMENT richte ich den Blick auf Messvorgänge, ihre Ungenauigkeiten und deren mögliches Scheitern. Mittels Bewegungsvokabular aus dem Tanz, Circus und
Materialtheater untersuche ich alltägliche Werkzeuge und Materialien auf ihre Eigenschaften. Ich möchte einen szenischen und körperlichen Umgang mit Kurven, Zahlen, Unsicherheit, Zufall und Risiko entwickeln. In der Recherche will ich mich einerseits mit theoretischen Grundlagen der Mathematik und deren Darstellung (Kurven, Graphen) beschäftigen und folgende Fragen stellen:
Was wollen wir und was können wir überhaupt messen (Körper, Orte, Zeit, Gefühle)? Wie und mit welchen Werkzeugen wird gearbeitet? Wer definiert das Messsystem, welches experimentelle Skript liegt zugrunde, was wird verglichen? Wieviel Unsicherheit ist enthalten? Sind Angst, Freude, Hoffnung und Risiko auch messbar? Wie könnten solche subjektiven Messwerte sichtbar gemacht werden?
Durch die Mischung von Performance, Wissenschaft und Handwerk möchte ich mit dieser Recherche einen Kontext zum Nachdenken schaffen.

In this research, I want to investigate some forms of interaction with the audience in order to explore the interfaces between human and non-human actions. In the artistic research project UNMEASUREMENT, I focus on measurement processes, their inaccuracies and their possible failure. Using movement vocabulary from dance, circus and object theatre to examine the properties of everyday tools and materials. I want to develop a scenic and physical approach to curves and numbers to , uncertainty, chance and risk. I am looking to develop a scenic and corporal approach that puts curves and numbers on stage to make tangible the notions of uncertainty and risk-taking. On the one hand I want to deal with theoretical foundations of mathematics and their representation (curves, graphs) and ask the following questions:
What do we want and what can we measure (bodies, places, time, feelings)? How and with wich tools do we work? Who defines the measurement system, what is the basic experimental script, wich references do we use? How much uncertainty is there? Can we also measure feelings, risk or chance?
By connecting references from performance and sciences, I want to create a context to think about our relationship to the “mathematics of uncertainty” (statistics) with this research.

Dans cette recherche “Donner corps aux chiffres”, je cherche de nouvelles formes d’interaction avec le public afin d’explorer les interfaces entre actions humaines et non humaines. Avec UNMEASUREMENT, je porte mon regard sur les processus de mesure, leurs imprécisions et leurs possibles échecs. En utilisant un vocabulaire de mouvement issu de la danse, du cirque et du théâtre d’objets, j’examine les propriétés d’outils et de matériaux du quotidien. Je cherche à développer une approche scénique et corporelle qui mette en scène courbes et chiffres afin de rendre tangibles les notions d’incertitudes et de prise de risque. Dans ma recherche, je m’intéresse aux bases théoriques des mathématiques et à leur représentation (statistiques, courbes, graphes) pour poser des questions:
Que voulons-nous et que pouvons-nous mesurer (corps, lieux, temps, sentiments) ? Comment et avec quels outils ? Qui définit le système de mesure ? Quel est le script expérimental de base, quelle est la la valeur de référence ? Quelle est la part d’incertitude dans ces calculs ? Peut-on également mesurer nos sentiments, le risque, le hasard ?
En mélangeant des outils issus de la performance et des sciences, je souhaite créer un contexte de réflexion sur notre rapport aux “mathématiques de l’incertitude” (les statistiques) avec cette recherche.
