about::

Claire Terrien, born 1981 in France.

With a background of theater and circus skills she graduated in architecture 2007 and then focussed on interventions in-situ and art installations in public spaces. She works since 2005 as a light and set designer for dance, site specific theater and new circus productions.

Nourished by 10 years of artistic, manual and technical engagement on and behind the scene, she started 2015 to develop and produce her own performances inside of the artistic research project UNMEASUREMENT (www.pomc-prod.de/unmeasurement).

She is a co-founder of Villa Kuriosum, a project space for multidisciplinary art practices in Berlin and co-curates the arts and circus festival Circusbiennale. The last years, she has performed with the Circus Charivari Collective, Pandora Circus, KieztoGo and for various site specific productions. She is also part of the Gangplank Network that develops new relationships between art and technologies through cross-media plattforms. Since 2017, she runs her own metall workshop, Atelier Terreclaire in Berlin-Lichtenberg.
